Meet Your Hosts

Phil and Wendy Hopkinson have been living in the Bay of Islands for 11 years, moving north from Auckland in 1994. At this time we designed and built a backpackers lodge which we operated successfully until 2001. Our love of travelling and swapping stories with our guests enabled us to meet some wonderful people and has led us to develop our new Bed and Breakfast accommodation, Decks of Paihia where we wish to share our home and extensive knowledge of Northland and New Zealand with those who come to stay. We look forward to your visit.
